\"\"I am Marion Sukubi a Kenyan citizen by birth currently a prison officer in one of the Kenyan renowned prisons. I am a first born from a family of nation service, as my dad was in military, so when I completed school dad pushed me to join Kenya Prison Service back in 2016. As you know trainings aren’t a walk in the park so I almost quit. I remember calling dad to tell him am done and I can’t continue anymore, I was given the shock of my life, He told me he was in the military and am the daughter of a solder so quitting isn’t a quality of a military blood and he added that firstborns don’t quit. So, I had to persevere the entire training till I got into active service immediately.

I started working and of course when salary starts flowing in, some events just follow, I moved in to my own rental apartment apart from the quarters the facility offered us. I started saving too since I didn’t like one source of income and I wanted to venture into entrepreneurship world. So, I also had interest in the real estate docket so I started buying some lands too.

The work environment required a lot of perseverance and tolerance as at times we deal with tough occasions. I don’t want to go into detail of what happens inside prison walls, so back to my journey. So, one thing led to another, work work work. By 2020 I had a baby and now with family starting I had to up my game as a mother. I had invested in lands, M-PESA, boutique, Binary Trade where I lost over 22k in before coming across gif and some business at this time. My total investments in physical businesses and lands by this time amounted over a million. Since this was the same year corona stroke, things weren’t usual for everyone, I wanted a side hustle I could work from home.

A friend had told me there are online jobs but  I was slightly reluctant since my wound with Binary trade with took my had earned 20k was still fresh. But I decided to try entrepreneural world in this case   online work one more time, so I went to Facebook, job sector part and searched  online jobs, so many popped up and I choose one maybe because the name of the job provider appeared to come from my tribe. I contacted the gentleman who is now my mentor in the business, He invited me for a zoom session since there was no physical meetings by then, I liked the business and decided to be part of it on part time basis while still serving the nation as a prison officer.

A tragedy stroke which is very hard to bear. After investing all my 5yrs saving, I lost everything in a span of one month, assets over 2Million went just like that, not the businesses, not the lands, not the family . The sky seemed to be falling on me and I couldn’t bear it. I questioned God why me because it was just too much for me, And God was like asking me for an address He could deliver the tragedy to instead. But Mr Bikeri who had introduced me to the business and my other mentors like Mr Patrick Wambua, Mr Denis Mutie, Mdm Coach Mwende And Mr TJ George the one who helped me also put my story out to the world stood by me during the hard times. Giving me advices and encouragements that TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE DO.

I gathered myself up at a tortoise speed not knowing what will happen next in my life. I got more serious in my business and things started changing for the better. I remember making over 10k in my first month in the business and this income kept on increasing up to now am averaging 40k a month in a spam of less than 2yrs working the business on part time basis. Of course, I at first had my own fears; I thought the business will never work because I had lost over 22k in Binary Trade and also had heard stories from friends who had been conned or failed in such business, Bad for them though but I think they didn’t partner with the right company or got the best mentors. I now know that my friends will always have opinions of which many are either rumors or myths or reasons why it won’t be a good idea for me to succeed ahead of them about what I do. I decided to listen to my mentors, people who had what I admired and wanted more for me. Because I’ve again never seen a successful business which is built by family and friends.


READ HARD ECONOMY AND SURVIVAL TIPS

So, if you decide to follow your passion and dream, then the worst people to consult are family and friends because no one can tell you how to succeed in anything they have never done or even failed in before. I know there are two categories of people to learn from, other people’s experience and your own experience. Its unfortunate failures aren’t called for events to share how they failed but they are good party to learn from. How they total failed and mistakes they made. These are good lessons. Now you can learn from other people’s mistakes suppose you don’t need to go through the tragedy yourself to learn from it. At times other people’s experience is the best teacher.

I have seen a lot of people in this business making lot of money in few years compared to what I had saved in 6yrs in my job. I have been employed for 6yrs yet even the dream of owning a car isn’t close while I have seen people 2, 3, 4 years in the business driving and already traveling the world and enjoying flights.  This is one of my dream goals and since I joined this business this is closer.  

\"\"Many people think people in Nation Serving makes a lot of money, let me tell you we also have the same fears and even bigger than you in your jobs as well. We work under more strict rules and any mistake you make can get your half salary gone and being fired can also be and eye blink so you must be alert 24/7. Most of my colleagues borrow millions to buy a car or impress a woman then now have to survive on quarter the salary as the ¾ goes on deductions and loan payment. Now you may have an insight why fighting corruption could prove not easy. Many find Themselves depressed and thus at times makes hard decisions like quitting even quitting life. If you have a friend in the army do motivate these people, they also go through a lot.
